Karla studied Reflexology and Acupressure as her post secondary education at International University and The Holt School Of Natural Healing where she graduated with honours in 2007, but her love of music and working with children motivated her to focus her energies on teaching and completing her RCM Teacher Certification.
In the summer of 2009 Karla created the comprehensive introductory music program for young children "Little Notes". The Little Notes Program gives children a fun start in their music studies while ensuring that each student receives the essential introductory knowledge and the basic skills needed for great success in their future musical pursuits. The Little Notes program helps students find their musical niche and has seen over 150 students graduate on to study instruments of their choice since it's inception.
Karla achieved her Royal Conservatory Teacher Certification in January of 2013 and launched her Little Notes and Piano programs in Inglewood, Ontario. This is where she founded Inglewood School Of Music. Inglewood School of Music is a positive and supportive educational space aligned with Karla's passion and belief that anyone with the desire to learn, can learn music and that it is of utmost importance to align each students music education with their interests and individual learning style so their musical comprehension and creativity can thrive. Whether it's preparing for RCM examinations, pursuing arts school entry, performing or for the fun love and joy of it - all ages, levels and musical pursuits are welcomed and fostered at Inglewood School Of Music within a fun and encouraging atmosphere. An atmosphere balanced with discipline and an individually structured curriculum that has clear expectations to ensure students reach their goals.
Karla aspires to nurture a love of learning and self confidence in her students at Inglewood School of Music for many more years to come.
